When you book your stay at Gull Cottage through the owners you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. When you book your stay through our listings on Stayz, TripAdvisor or Airbnb, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions relating to your use of those websites and the conditions of staying at Gull Cottage as applicable to each website.

Cancellation by the guest – money paid is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire period. If a refund is made due to the property being re-let then an AUD $50 cancellation fee will apply.

The owner will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However, the owner reserves the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.

The number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice. Fees will apply for additional guests not agreed to with the owner in advance.

Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your security deposit (also known as security bond or refundable damage deposit) and/or additional payments.

Damage, breakages, theft and loss are the guest’s responsibility during their stay.

Departure – the property should be left in a clean state similar to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10:00am sharp to allow time to prepare the property for the next guests.

The property should be vacated on time and secured. All windows and doors are to be locked. All keys must be returned to the Key Lock Safe. Its location will be forwarded in future emails. Failure to secure the property on departure may lead to the loss of a portion or all, of your damage bond.

You are responsible for the safekeeping and replacement of accommodation keys. Duplicate keys and possible lock replacement will be provided at an additional charge of AUD $200.

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of the security deposit (also known as security bond or refundable damage deposit).

The security deposit (also known as security bond or refundable damage deposit) is payable at the same time as the balance amount. The security deposit (also known as security bond or refundable damage deposit) will be refunded within 5 days subject to the above conditions being met. It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared, leaving the premises unsecured etc.

Linen, pillows, blankets and towels are supplied and must be left where supplied in the bedrooms or bath rooms on departure. Beach towels are not included.

No pets are allowed.

All furniture and furnishings must be left in the position they were in when you arrived.

Loss – the owner takes no responsibility for the guest’s personal property.

Smoking is not permitted inside the house.

We recommend all guests purchase travel insurance since the owners are not responsible for any injuries, illness or accidents that may occur whilst staying at the property.
